Interactive Juditial VR Training

This year, the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) incorporated our No-Code VR Tools into judicial training programs for the first time. The ISSVR team was honored to lead a hands-on, international VR Production Workshop for lawyers, judges, and court clerks in Pirna, Germany.

The workshops introduced participants to ISSVR’s No-Code VR Production tools. We equipped them with practical skills in interactive scenario design, prosumer VR video production, and strategies for implementing and evaluating VR training.

Interactive VR Production in 3 days

During the sessions, participants successfully developed two interactive VR training scenarios set in a courtroom. In both scenarios, users assume the role of a judge presiding over legal proceedings. The first training scenario focuses on managing an intentionally obstructive witness. The second addresses the challenges of working with a witness who has a hearing impairment.

Interactive VR Training Experience

In summary, over the course of just three days, workshop participants with no prior experience in VR production successfully utilized ISSVR tools to develop their own interactive VR scripts. They filmed and edited VR videos using off-the-shelf consumer-grade VR cameras and created concise, interactive VR training scenarios designed for future use in judicial education.

These innovative scenarios demonstrate the potential of VR technology in enhancing judicial training by providing immersive, realistic, and practical learning experiences. All the training scenarios were grounded in real-life events drawn from the participants’ professional experiences. Leveraging the capabilities of interactive VR film and ISSVR tools, these scenarios were efficiently transformed into immersive and impactful VR training modules.

ISSVR in Juditial VR Training

We succesfuly implemented ISSVR in Juditial Training on two other occasions. We led similar VR Production Workshops for participants from Polish National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. ISSVR team also created two interactive VR Training scenarios for the Polish Judges Association “Iustitia”.
